This is the perfect place to arrive after a long day of cycling. Kathy is a wonderful host, she really went above and beyond to make us comfortable. The spa pool is absolutely magical with its view across to the mountains. The rooms are impeccably clean, modern and very comfortable, with lovely tiled showers. The breakfast was very generous and had a great variety of delicious options. Everything is so thoughtfully done, like the separate covered area for storing and charging bikes.

We stayed at Inverlair while cycling the Rail Trail. Our rooms were spacious, spotless and quiet. Our wonderful hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome and valued. Our group of 10 enjoyed pre-dinner drinks and cheeseboards on the patio followed by a superb meal. There was no problem catering for vegetarians and we were thoroughly spoilt. The outdoor spa was a welcome bonus. Thanks again for making our stay so memorable.

Fantastic lodge with every facility and extremely well fitted out. The place had multiple rooms and large communal areas to accommodate. Outside areas were also available to take in the view including a spa pool. Top rate stop if you are doing the Otago rail trail

What a fabulous stay! Impeccably clean rooms, fabulous facilities and hosts who treated us like family. Our hosts warmly welcomed us, showed us the facilities then left us to enjoy their beautiful place. They went to a huge effort to give us a fabulous breakfast in preparation for our forthcoming trail ride. Strongly recommend! And thanks heaps. Hope you get to see your grandchild soon. Xxx

The room and shared spaces were so comfortable, the spa was the perfect thing after a day on the rail trail. There is enough space to be social if you feel like it, or have quiet time alone, if that suits you better. Hosts were welcoming and accommodating. Would definitely recommend it and would come again.

For the third year running decided to make Inverlair Lodge our base for riding the Otago Rail Trail and stayed for five nights. As always everything was very well presented, and the new owners Cathy and Tony were welcoming and attentive. They went out of their way to ensure our expectations were met. We would recommend staying for a while, as there is a great deal to do and see in the area, and it makes a great base for cycling in either direction depending on conditions. We are planning another visit shortly.

Wow is all we can say. Tony and Kathy are amazing hosts, making us feel as though the beautiful accommodation was home. The food provided was top quality and delicious and the wine list was of a good selection and reasonably priced. The spa pool was a bonus, such a treat looking out onto the mountains after a long day on the bikes. The accommodation itself is modern, immaculate and luxurious.

Thank you Kathy and Tony for a wonderful stay at your gorgeous lodge while on a group cycle tour. On a COLD, WET day we stumbled in frozen and miserable and were greeted by Kathy telling us to hand over our wet clothes and sit by the fire - can't tell you how wonderful that was! Our rooms were large and comfortable, all with ensuites. The main living area had plenty of luxurious sofas for us all and a well stocked wine/beer fridge - which got a good workout. Dinner was pre-organised - and Kathy and Tony had everything prepared ready for barbecuing, and freshly made salads and dessert. To top it off, snow fell that night and in the morning it looked like fairyland. It was very hard to leave the warm embrace of Inverlair Lodge. I would definitely recommend a stay here!

Wow. Beautiful spacious, modern home. Would be amazing for an extended-family gathering (especially in summer, or hunkered down in winter). Tony is a very considerate host, giving us our space. The views are huge, the rooms are tranquil and cozy, the enormous lounge & family spaces were perfect to allow everyone their own areas of activity.

Day two on our rail trail adventure and we were booked into Inverlair Lodge for our overnight stay. We walked into a wonderful lounge dining area with landscape views to the distant mountains. Our hosts Kathy and Tony were onsite for instructions and assistance. We were soon provided with cheese platters and set up a bar tab. The boys were a bit sore and used the jacuzzi to ease their aches. Breakfast was delicious, and again Kathy and Tony provided a cooked meal and barista coffee if required. The welcoming rooms each had a large en-suite with extra towels for the bathers. Our overnight stay was too short and as a group we agreed a return visit was on the cards- with or without cycling! A useful bonus was onsite eftpos facilities to pay for our extras and bar tab. Kathy and Tony were warm and welcoming, and the lodge was very clean and comfortable. If in a large group make sure you take advantage of Kathy and Tony’s cooking as you can pre order meals if required.

Absolutely recommend this as ideal place to stay. Our group of 6 couples booked out all the accommodation & enjoyed the great common area as well the outdoor spa. Tony & Kathy are lovely hosts & can provide a good insight into the local area. The quirky pub down the road also provides a hearty dinner.

We spent a night at Inverlair Lodge in the middle of our Rail Trail cycling trip. Inverlair Lodge is right on the trail. There is a wonderful view across the trail and surrounding countryside from the terrace and the very spacious living rooms. The bedrooms are very comfortable, and the shower is awesome! The lodge looks as if it is new, and is perfectly designed for this kind of stop over. It is within walking distance of the pub - another plus!
